The hotel lobby might be outdated but the staff's friendliness and helpfulness made up for it. the room with a sea view was impressive and the rooftop bath was a lovely experience. the public bath on the sixth floor was quiet with a relaxing atmosphere.

The common areas were in poor condition and it seemed like the hotel owners didn't maintain them regularly.

Price is not competitive when compared to hotel rate, especially when the sea view , though nice, is not fantastic. Also, quite a long walking distance from the train station. Should cater slightly differently for foreigners. Throw in dinner for the current price.

The hot bath

Very expensive by western standards for the quality: no internet to speak of, no foreign language tv, no cafeteria service, etc., for y17100 a night. We also had major maintenance work by the sea front, with 3 huge mobile sea cranes from 08h30 to 05h00 right in front of our window !

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The views of the sea and the sunrise from my room were absolutely stunning. The onsen bath was also a highlight, and the hot water was so comfortable and relaxing. The service at breakfast was attentive and friendly, and the staff made sure that everything was just perfect. The location was also very convenient, with parking available for those who are driving. this place exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Loved the private hot spring on the top floor with a stunning ocean view and a special package that made our romantic escape even more special. The spacious Japanese-style room was clean and had breathtaking views of the sunrise over the sea. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the fact that we could walk to the beach in just a few minutes.

The hotel's location was not ideal for us as it was a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station. , the cancellation policy for meals was not clear and we ended up losing money.

The hotel decor is outdated and could use some modernization. the food options are not very tasty despite the generous portions.

We had a wonderful stay at a ryokan in Beppu. The footbath in the room and the private onsen room were so relaxing. The room was bigger than expected and very clean. Although the location was a bit far from the train station, the taxi service recommended by the hotel made it convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.
